A touching and gentle comedy about life, love and human connection by Ashley Burgoyne

The cast put on 3 amazing performances to nearly full houses on each night.
Once again, great effort was put in to the set design and the result was incredible.
There was a great team working on the play, and thanks goes to all involved, and of course to those who supported us on the performance nights, and made it both a success and enjoyable

Charles once shared a park bench with his beloved wife, Rose. Now, he sits alone, lost in memories of her, with only an empty space beside him. But when strangers begin to sit with him, Charles finds himself drawn into a web of strange occurrences. Something valuable seems to have gone missing, though it’s unclear whether it was misplaced or stolen. And who are the two mysterious figures, constantly glued to their phones, lurking around the bench?

The Park Bench is a poignant, yet light-hearted exploration of life’s fleeting moments and the unexpected connections that shape our existence. This heart-warming play invites us into the lives of ordinary people as they navigate the complexities of modern relationships, love, and the tapestry of human relationships. With humour and sensitivity, it reminds us that every encounter, no matter how small, holds the potential for change.

Lockdown and Last Panto in Little Grimley double bill

We gave Gordon and his little band at the Little Grimley Amateur Dramatic Society a very well received outing in West Haddon a year or so ago and they are back with another couple of comedy capers.

The show ran for three nights in West Haddon village hall, from 30th January to 1st February 2025 to near sell out audiences on each night. The feedback was amazing and West Haddon Players are very proud of the 4 very talented actors who make up this small returning cast. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made these evenings such a success and of course to all those you bought tickets and made it such a fun event

"Stand and Deliver" a Resounding Success!

What a whirlwind of mystery and intrigue! The West Haddon Players are delighted to report that our recent production, "Stand and Deliver, A Murder Mystery Evening," was a resounding success.

Over four performances in West Haddon, Watford Village, and Hilmorton on October 25th & 26th and November 1st & 2nd, nearly 300 eager sleuths joined us for an evening unlike any other.

This murder mystery was close to our hearts as our director, Daisy, is a direct descendant of the Pettifer family. It was apt that this was Daisy's first production as director and we are amazingly proud of her. Not only that, but the play was written by our very own John Dacombe, his 7th murder mystery!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made "Stand and Deliver" such a memorable experience.
